In Search of Comfort

02/11/2009

The fable called “In Search of Comfort” which is taken by Richard Avedon is involving two characters Mr. & Mrs. Comfort whom he has portrayed as mistreated and devolved to a world of destruction. Mrs. Comfort, an actress Nadja Auermann, was used as a symbol for fashion as illusion in a fight against the flight of time, and as a contrast Mr. Comfort was a skeleton which symbolises mortality.

A splendid world of disastrous set of libido where beauty means vividness and self-sacrifice is a taboo.

Beautiful and violent, photos posses’ great power, depth and colour, creating almost disturbing and surreal feeling that in the end of epic story, The Garden of Eden is marked as “Strictly No Entry”.
